Every DramEd session combines structured drama-led learning with real theatrical techniques, and every activity has a clear learning intention behind it.
THE THEATRICAL VALUE
Character and voice: Children try on roles, voices and physical choices, the way an actor builds a character.
Working as an ensemble: They create scenes together, take turns, and listen and respond as a company.
The performer space: A clear theatrical opening and close each week, so children step in, commit and step back out with confidence.
Child-led choices: Children make real creative decisions that shape the drama, within a clear structure designed to develop specific skills.
THE EDUCATIONAL VALUE
Communication and language: New vocabulary used in context, speaking with expression and listening for cues.
Confidence and social skills: Opportunities to practise turn-taking, working together and expressing feelings through role.
Your topics, brought to life: Recycling, seasons, the world around us: explored on their feet rather than at a table.
Ideas your team keeps: Staff take exercises and songs into the rest of the nursery day.
DramEd sessions support the EYFS framework, particularly Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development, and Expressive Arts and Design.

Children aged 2 to 5.
How long is a session?
30 minutes. Two groups can be seen in the same visit.
Are practitioners DBS checked?
Yes. DramEd is fully insured and our safeguarding and other policies are published on our policies page.
Can sessions link to our current topics?
Yes. Tell us what your children are exploring and we will bring it into the sessions.
